Thoughts of a Father

It’s all in my head
I think about it over again
When you three are all
Older and with friends
I wish every day you wake up
That it is a clear blue sky
I know you have wondered why
I never shared in your lives
Yes, me too
I can’t take it
I can’t shake it
One day when you wake up
I’ll have to say goodbye
But while I’m still alive
Rest assured
If GOD is above me
He gives me strength
For all you know I’ll provide and love you three
Until the day I close my eyes
Thoughts of a father
These feelings I harbour
Stored away in an emotional jar
Viewing it now on the display cabinet
It is real freedom of scars…
