Thoughts From a Foodie

Masticator

To salty, crunchy foods I gravitate:
Popcorn, fries, potato chips and nachos
And on my plate some food to masticate:
Fried chicken, pizza, hamburgers and tacos!
A large hot soup can soothe my appetite,
But serve it, please, with crackers I can BITE!

Sarong Song/ Chocolate Lament

For breakfast I sat down with sweetened cocoa;
I snacked on Hershey kisses all day long.
Then chocolate cream éclairs I had with dinner.
I’m changing my bikini for sarong.

A Masticator’s Fate?

Behind my mother I am following.
The white hairs keep appearing; it’s with dread
I picture myself one day swallowing
My food with dentures stuck inside my head!

These are great randomlings, Andrea! Masticator's Fate is partly the cause of the initial Masticator. Don't worry about white hair...it can be beautiful! My favourite...the Sarong Song:)) // paul

Watch your intake, Andrea, and those calories! An enjoyable reading. Thanks for the stop by. Yes, I'm still writing, though I've slowed down a little. It's now one poem a day, two if possible. Best to you. / M

Hi Andrea, I don't know what to say, some of my favorite foods. It actually sounds like a fairly typical day for me. I love Kisses but I'm addicted to Hersey's Hugs. Great write. If you find yourself back on my sight I'd love to hear your thoughts on Dark Reflection. It's rather long.

I'm sorry, Andrea, but am having all sorts of trouble with the new computer layout charter has stuck me with. The action is spastic and is driving me crazy. I'll get it fixed soon I hope. Love, Dave

Does being number one keep you under the gun? I have spent time with enough of your prose and rhyme to feel the joy of your gift. You are indeed a talent and reading you gives me quite a lift. Thank you ... CayCay

Crazy for Sarong Song but the three together describe PMS...Ha ha ha! I'm thinking if we can just dye those gray hairs and have the dentist clean our teeth twice as much, maybe we can stave off the dentures...please? These were super clever and diffinatly fun! My favorite is Sarong I guess b/c it's funny, catchy, truthful, and surprises us!

I enjoyed these, Andrea! I can really relate to the chocolate one, although fitting into a bikini is a laughable thought, considering my age and weight! (Not telling!) Best wishes in the contest! Love, Kim
