Thoughts Are Wider Than An Ocean
Never dared to say,
" I love you, sweety. "
Why did I keep all words to myself,
staring at your picture on the shelf?
No night is really warm, I tremble under the sheets,
I long to be close and share those amazing feelings:
thoughts are wider than an ocean bluer than any sky,
being on this side is harder than anything worth a try,
even this darkness of winter is colder than snow,
break this silence deeper than fear and shadow!
Thoughts are wider than an ocean,
they're much quicker than a speeding arrow;
they're able to pierce a lost emotion
to stir awareness in someone not mellow!
Never dared to say,
" I'm all yours, honey. "
It makes you wonder how untrue I'd be...
not holding you, not sparking any glee!
Only desire can increase devotion,
it's simply the illusion that we're near;
if thoughts are wider than an ocean,
can our distant hands touch each other?
