Thoughts and Dreams

Thoughts of
you invade my
mind, all throughout
the day

Dreaming of
us spending
time in every
different way

Wondering if
you think of
me, as I think
of you

Torn amid
your seeming
beauty and the
graceful things
you do

You overwhelm
me in every way,
in ways I can’t
describe

My feelings
swirl and merge
together, difficult
to divide

Thoughts and
dreams of you
my dear are copious
in my mind

Which gives
the gift of loving
you, and seeing
you all the time

My daughter got me interested in poetry, and when I began to write, most times, it flowed from my mind almost faster than I could write it down.
