Thoughts About Friendship

Thoughts about Friendship January 2015 Did you know It takes a lot of cultivating to help a friendship grow, For friendships don’t just hatch from tiny seed we sow. And You have failed when your worst enemy, Was once counted among your best friends. If you could sell, What price would seem adequate if for your best friend, Or would they be for sale? And what price might they affix to you? Can you Be a friend to someone without their being a friend to you? And lastly, Being friendly doesn’t constitute friendship; or does it? I lost my best friend to A.L.S. Only when standing at his coffin did I fully grasp, That pain too, was an inherent part of our friendship. The only person I’ve ever lost that I don’t have sad thoughts about. I recall only good times, and funny things; a true friend. Tom
