Thoughts

Thoughts in my head
They come and they go
Some I react
Some – I say no

What do I choose?
What chooses me?
A neurological dilemma?
Absolutely

Emotions emerge
Thoughts magically appear
Behavior follows
Consequences – O dear

When the pain of staying the same
Exceeds the pain of change
A new path is followed
Life gets rearranged

The habits you created
Created you
Who would have thought?
Who would have ever knew

I’m a product
Perception – my reality
The way I see the world
Is what I believe about me

Strange
Interesting
Fascinating
True

I think I know me?
Actually – I’m not sure that I do?

We’re all a reflection
Of all that we have thought
All of the things that we do
And all the things that we ought

So clarify the thoughts
The behavior will be new
The consequences will change
New thoughts - new you

John Lawless September 18, 2018 at 10:55 AM I thought I thought a thought but the thought I thought I thought was not the thought I thought I thought....it seems the thoughts I think I think lead me to rethink the thought I thought I thought and the thought I thought.....I think.
