Thought
The taste of fresh air
Feels so much better
When life feels like
A long string pulling.
The breath of air
Between two people
Gives that string of life a heartbreak —
A pause in suffocation.
“No” as a pause
becomes a beautiful word to hear.
And “sharing” feels
Closer to better
Than bitter.
