Those Who Walked Away

Those who walked away
______________________
Across a stretch of field,
A trekked pathway stretches,
Paved by a fine white sugar sand.
Many have walked through.
Their foot falls made this path alive.
Those foot prints guided many to destiny.
Faith followed their hopes,
preoccupied with thoughts.
Their minds spilled in tear droplets.
Cool breeze of grace wiped their eyes.
Where did they walk to?
It is a destination unknown.
Yet their foot prints remain merged.
Each grain of sand has their stories.
History lie submerged with time.
Their life hides behind memories.
May be one day we dig them out,
painting a picture of our imagination.

Hey Satheesan, stopped by for a visit. This is a lovely poem filled with imagery and one to open the recesses of the mind to ponder the unanswered questions. Well done! Be Blessed, Neva
