Those Poor Yankees By Elton Camp Those who live in the land of ice and snow Must think that this winter will never go After only a few days of spring Comes more of the winter thing Spring should be here, but not quite There comes another coating of white Snow piled up on their deck Black ice to bring the wreck Our tornadoes they may deride But the South’s the place to reside I surely cannot understand Staying in old Yankee land In the South, feet can be bare Wear overalls and none care Where it’s “Y’all” you must say And “Youse guys” sure belay
