Those Nasty Weeds

Coastal changes.

piers are deluged by the tide
cliffs and beaches side by side
                   are taken by the sea.

mile by mile the land is poached
by the wind and sea encroached
                  stolen by the waves.

from north to south and east to west
this sceptered isle is oft beset
                 by sea and weather both.

the waters rising year on year
       extremes of climate causing fear
                      right across our globe.

  no agreements; just conclusions
can't we stop this pure delusion
              let's pray that things improve.
