Those Lights Represent Magic

Those lights represent magic
By Michelle Morris

I see the lights in all these windows
Their warmth speaks to me without words
Behind those windows live people
Who dream and love and yearn

Those lights represent magic
Humans connecting with society
Those lights represent safety
A place to live without anxiety

And though this may be my wishful thinking
My optimism about connections
I believe that each of us meets others
On our path towards our soul's redemption

What we do and think and feel makes a difference
Because we affect others in our sphere
We're all part of a greater collective
Our silver threads weave to uplift and cheer

Despite every conflict, war and strife
Despite every dark abyss and fear and isolation
We humans are ultimately divine souls
That will live on in the Universe's creation

So, I will always look out for those lights
In all windows and all souls
Because when we seek the Light
We focus on our highest hope

Let their warmth speak to me without words
Let their illumination connect with mine
Let each of us focus on our gifts
And realise our dreams in our lifetime
