Those Kind of Days
In those kind of days
That do not feel quite right
Feelings swirl in empty ways
A heart holds onto the night
Rise up my friend, take a look
Let the air to the skies, clear your mind
Move forward like the gurgling brook
To see what you will find
The water sparkling in front of you
Meanders to lead the way for now
Let go, a walk will bring you through
To the other side somehow
In those kind of days
That can be so difficult to face
When heaviness lingers to stay
With longing to be some other place
Take a listen to the music
Write yourself a pleasant note
A reminder to read and to pick
A positive affirmation to float
In your mind or written on a stone
To know, to have and to hold
My friend, you are not alone
You can let the day unfold
