Notes About The Poem

The last straw for me has been listening in astonishment to the Democrats praising the mullahs of iran for their 'reasonableness' --- conveniently ignoring their barbaric hostage-taking, their decades-long sponsorship of Hezbollah and other terror organizations, their fomenting of the most evil forms of anti-Christian and anti-Jewish hatred imaginable in iran's schools, their treatment of women as chattel (at best), their police state tactics against their own citizens... i could go on here... And, of course, all the while they (the Dems) are bashing Mr. Trump as a madman for striking back against a 'general' every bit as diabolical as Osama bin-laden was! Have these Democrats gone completely nuts?!

Democrats now thanking all the Mullahs
In their eyes, they're hale and jolly fellows ---
   But Donald Trump's insane
   They all proudly maintain ---
Feh! They won't fight evil 'cos they're yellow

Ah, the fearless quill quips from a true global citizen ... powerful poetry, Mr. Wolf! Tho' I don't condone assassination, when someone deals in wanton death like Gen. Sole did, what kind of reprisal did he expect to get. Very forthright poem, my dear friend. Love and peace always.

Credit to you for not falling into the sucker trap of saying we had no justification for killing Gen Sole 'now.' I get that you don't like assassination raids, but the general wasn't going to kill himself as Hitler, the coward, did. My hat's off to you, FRJ. You're a great and glorious man! ~ Gershon

Down there is still a whole lot better than the mullahs in Iran what with their secret police, their starving of the population, and their sponsoring of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and their supplying of Syria with much of its nerve gas. But for our 'Democrats,' the mullahs are 'reasonable' fellows. Feh! Thanks, LL! :) gw

I don't think there is much controversy over killing Soleimani as both parties seem to agree he was evil. It was just the suddenness of the attack that made people feel it hadn't been well thought out. (I'm afraid of North Korea too.) You're right. However, terror is fought suddenly and swiftly, now with advance notice. I t's not a game for the faint of heart. Today's Democrat leaders seem oblivious to that---not just American Dems, but European Liberals too. What can you do?! Thanks, Carolyn

Now you know,Gershon, if President Trump, took further action,he would be labeled a war monger. But he has been given that moniker anyway, You forgot Bush was hated also? If a President is an R, he is automatically dead meat and his followers, despised? We will see how things go. Solemani was a religious scholar to the D's. No matter the 600+dead Americans. And thousands of Middle Easterners. Good limerick even if I disagree with the Last part! Thanks.. PR

Well said Gershon, when George Bush said they were part of the axis of evil, he wasn't wrong. Along with that other crackpot country, nth Korea. Sometimes the only way to fight fire is with fire. You cannot reason with these People it's their way or no way, like a rabid dog it needs to be put down. Tom
