Those Hideous Vines
I received a packet of seeds that read wildflowers,
the seeds were a variety of shapes and tones;
some big and some quite small,
I planted them and watered them and waited.
Soon, green sprouts were starting to show,
and some were growing very, very fast;
it looked like a vine and in no time had hooked,
tentacles everywhere and not pretty either.
I asked a friend what she thought this plant was,
and she said- these are runner beans;
I hated them and ripped them out of my garden,
but they still come back and I keep ripping them out.
They are hideous and ugly and definitely
not wildflowers!
