Those Dirty Nazis

Cathie finally lets me go out on my own now As long as I wear a tracking device of some kind This, of course, is needed in case I wander away And can't remember where I live! At times I have even been known to take a bus And wind up in a city miles away or even in a different province I often follow good looking ladies Hoping they'll be nice to me and ask me home for dinner! So far that hasn't happened although once I offered to bring a nice lady to MY house for dinner But I couldn't remember where I lived Tried walking into a house that looked like mine The alarms went off and the police took me and my friend Down to the police station for interrogation! That was really quite embarrassing! I've been told in no uncertain terms not to talk to strangers And in particular, pretty young ladies! I whined and stomped my feet but Cathie insisted Or she won't let me go out on my own anymore! I'm as sharp as I've ever been but I do call her Mabel sometimes! Hope we defeat those dirty Nazis! Love your poem! I actually do mix up names with my brother and Hubby when they are together. After talking to Joey on the phone I Mix his name with Hubby's, too. They think it's funny and try to get me to do it... They don't have to try hard. I used to mix up my sister-in-law's name Roxanne with my neighbor's name Rachel. Names... What's in a name... A Rose by any other name..., ect. I expect Shakespeare had the same problem... LOL! Even better... couldn't remember my co-workers names at all...

Read Thomas Carney's comments below! Titles are all important... if they don't grab you right of the bat, your chances of anyone stopping by are less likely! How have you been dear sister Jan? Well I hope! Loving hugs, Bro XXX

A title is so important, and I often for minutes ponder a poem's content by title only. In fact, the title caught my eye so I came here to read this. Clever title, clever and humorous poem. I enjoyed thoroughly. The format is very creative as well and lends itself almost logistically to one walking place to place, your one line stanzas was a good idea here. Ran out of space or I was going to write more, as I really liked the format, matches the creativity of your discourse. Congrats.
