Those Days

Sweet
The smell that flows over dewy leaves
Forever and ever
These memories

Wonder
The small insects that shed on the tree
Timeless enough
These memories

Love
Sharing watermelon with nanny in a swing
Tears of joy
These memories

Light
A gentle glow from mating fireflies
Illuminating
These memories

Damp
A warm rain floating among the stars
Forever and ever
Those summers

Wish we could bring back the magic of days like these. At least they still live in our memories, Justin. Wouldn't you like to return to such a simpler time? As for the "mountains," we all have our own to climb. I thought you did a great job with your poem and I sensed the message came through clearly. Love, Carolyn
