This World and Me.

You breathe to live,
I live to exhale,
I cant seem to hold anything in,
In this world i find nothing i give.
Even if the stubborn stay stale.
I can never loose because i know ill never win.

You turn on streets that look the best,
I walk down roads that lead to purpose,
I cant hold down lies that stay salty,
In this world the scheme is to be like the rest.
Even if to you my choices seem worthless.
I think that practical pleasure is faulty.

You write for people who want to be pleasured,
I write to stay untainted,
You jump feet you haven't measured.
I imagine pictures that haven't been painted.

Congratulations, Monte, on having your poem featured this week. And I disagree with your line, "In this world i find nothing i give" because in this poem, you have giving us all something>>> something to think about!!! And after all, isn't that what life is for... listening, learning, and growing in our souls? Lovingly, Dane

Ello Monte! I could never loose cause i could never win; if you hope for nothing, you won't be surprised if it doesn't come; that's kinda my mentality, but it isn't a good one, every once in a while great is the feeling of high expectations of coarse when especially fulfilled. the second verse is so well written, you turn on streets that look the best...i think the that practical is faulty. Sometimes the prettier the road the most cleaning it has for the many broken glass open it, great poem
