This War
This war will still be there Our Love will never be dust
when even these words are dust nor our nights
when all there is nor our sunshine mornings
when every tree that stands nor our seasons
is gone dust will never be dust
nor our walks
this war will still be there in rain on sand snow frost
when even Bach is forgotten nor hidden woods
& dust nor quiet soft kisses
when my heart & all its every beat nor impassioned arms
its every ache nor our babies
have died unto dust will never be dust.
What is NOT can never be dust.
this war will still be there
when You are dust This war will still be there
and all that you do is dust when we are dust
your every action This war will still be there
when your every decision is dust stronger than us
this war will still be there. & never dust
stronger than us
& never dust.
