The seagull is already determined to take off. A moment of silence before that. From this poem I feel the severe cold of winter and feel the vitality of creatures. I love this poem very much.

How ironic it must be to see a seagull (to me a symbol of warm weather and summer) on a pole over the snow banks. You did a wonderful job describing the view from your window, Carol.
