This Too I Recall
This too I recall, glancing behind
selfish I drank a good part of wine
our zucchini was big, it ate all the rest
a joke, the tomatoes bulging flesh
this to I remember, angry the day
christ was born, or so we say
I took a guitar, rusty the strings
sang like a squirrel, fell on my knees
I remember it well, moist of eyes
ladybug dancing, bathing your thighs
in milk and salt, blood of grape
quenched my thirst intwining fate
the job, the girl - talking machine
the quiet of angels, porcelain queens
set all around me, praying as such
why they pray, having so much
This too I recall, glancing behind
selfish I came, in haste did we dine
in haste, great forcers. passion, love
fate predestined like noah, his dove
this too I recall, glancing behind
love is a moment, fighting in time
great is your flesh, but more is your kind
heart and in this, I rest and recline
