This Speck of Dust That Makes the Eye To Wink

XX
This speck of dust that makes the eye to wink
It happens and we know not what it means
And causes one to pause awhile and think
That things unseen are not what they might seem
This tiny dust I cared not it exists
Comes in mine eye and makes a tear to swell
Rolls down the cheek with sorrows can't resist.
And made me see my heart is far from well
The very small and unimportant things
This world of dry and dusty death we fear
To lose the things in which our souls doth cling
Serves to remind us why we need such tears
I saw myself as being someone high
But I am dust which sometimes make God cry

Your sonnet is wonderful, and the iambic pentameter spot on... Well written, also the content, with veru expressive final two lines.. I chose this sonnet to welcome you into PoetrySoup :)

Thanks Darren. I'm glad you like it. I just discovered this site today. I did not know such a place exists. I've been writing poems for awhile.
