This Shall Too Pass

He was looking me in the eye.
A closer look,
If not cold enough to wake me up.

It is just a trend.
And it is a reminder.
A mere reminder.
This shall too pass.

I believed him.
I believed,
as one needs to be sane.
Before disease and after disease.

Bipolar is not a slang
for your forefathers
to be dragged from graveyard.

And I listened.
A proper girl.
A good one.

A mom is an act of lending ear.
No more. No less.
