This Road

This road I have traveled on
From that to this very point
Knew just what to want
Knew where it was going

To me at times was never clear
As I wobbled through the atmosphere
From over there to over here
Through the laughter and the tears

Through the losses and the gains
In life's pleasure and its pain 
From early time to those of late
Did not hesitate 

Moved itself right along
Like a top 40 Pop song
When it didn't sing it hummed 
This melody of love

Before the time I even knew
Or even had a single clue
This road knew just what to do
And ran me into you
