This Poets Prayer
This Poets Prayer
If I may let me bring
some beauty to this world
not with my flesh
but from my soul
I pray.
Help me form
from nothingness
a gift that I can share
and touch a heart or two
along the way.
Teach me how
to display
the visions that I see
forever taking shape
within my mind.
Guide my hand
across the page
with growing certainty
to cultivate these visions
that I find.
