This Much I Know

Without You This Much I know: The sun wouldn’t shine so brightly Birds wouldn’t sing so sweetly The air wouldn’t smell so delightfully My life wouldn’t be filled so completely …Without you… And how do I know?: Without you the sun seems but a shadow The birdsongs seem slightly off-key The air seems not to stir in the meadow And my heart feels hollow to me …And how do you feel about me?... That I don’t really know In any self assured way You don’t deign to show me E’en the time of the day …I’m sure I could be… The light of your life Should you allow me the pleasure To make you my wife To love, honor and forever treasure I don’t just think that …I KNOW!...
