This Morning Dew

I found at dawn,
With drops upon,
And sprinkled through,
My speckled lawn.

This morning dew,
Made day anew,
And brought about,
A fresher view.

Even a drought,
Can bring it out,
Though cloudless skies,
May give it doubt.

This wet surprise,
From moisture lies,
From prior day’s,
Much heated rise.

The sunny rays,
Kept in the haze,
Then into night.
Had parted ways.

With lack of light,
The air could fight,
But could not hold,
It’s humid height.

So with the cold,
The air did fold,
With water gone,
Out from the old.

Onto the lawn,
I looked upon.
This morning dew,
I found at dawn.

Superb lyrical rhythm to this easy flowing piece. Most enjoyable. Cheers, Brian
