This Morning

I woke up to find you not there
I felt so all alone
You had left with a part of me
Sad to know you’re gone

The bed’s cold like the cement floor
The sheets missing your warmth
I’m skin and bones without you near
Please return, I’m this close to death

I know you said I was never there
But I tried to be so true
You felt I didn’t love you, didn’t care
My love was never this strong

I can, I will change for you
Please hear my plea
Come back home to me
I don’t want to be alone anymore

I miss you and I need you so
You are my one and only
An hour feels like a life sentence
I don’t want to die this lonely

The love I know I didn’t show
Is still hear in my heart
You’ll see a change for sure
Come back to end this hurt

I didn’t hear the birds singing
My entire life’s plunged in the dark
I didn’t see the sun rising
My heart’s so weak, so bleak
