This Lovely Day

I did not plan this lovely day,
                                         It just grew wings
                                           and flew away
                                        Its moments filled
                                             with many
                                               sounds
                                          As she turned
                                        her face around
                                Sunlight twinkled brilliantly
                                         Upon her deep
                                         and misty seas
                                     The birds aloft their
                                         joy-filled wings
                                         As nature lifts
                                     her voice and sings
                                      The Father smiles 
                                         upon her face
                                      This gem of jewels
                                       dancing through
                                               space
                                      Every creature joined
                                              in song
                                       To sing His praises
                                           all day long
                                I did not plan this lovely day
                                       It just grew wings
                                          And flew away

The plans we make put our focus on things that take our attention away from peace. I decided that day, that I needed to write about the beauty of the day. Many days are glorious, the sun shines on the earth, birds fly, nature is filled with scents of plants, flowers and trees...but often we can't see them, we're too busy. I decided that it was a day of love, and love is far more than even the personal romantic kind that is celebrated on Valentine's Day. My sweetheart had to be at work, and I celebrated the day seeing the love of God just seeming to celebrate creations beauty everywhere I looked!
