Oh! That this rose be a symbol of love
perfect it blooms- your beauty it holds
your perfumed scent in the fragrance of
and lo theses thorns pierce just as bold

funny...I have had some of my regular poems referred to as poe like...when I googled his poems, many did have gloom in them...he had darkness in many, light in some... I had read yours I believe on death and Charlie's on birth so wanted to go on a different path! hugs
