This Is Who Iam
Given a long name at birth,
English pals said it with mirth,
cut it down to simply Krish,
it was their pleasure, my wish,
not afraid to say the truth,
not impulsive as at youth,
go out of way, help others,
I can calm ruffled feathers,
for friend I am best you see,
enemies fear not from me,
Even those who hurt me bad,
I have wiped their tears when sad,
Married to dear wife Vijy,
lost early to tragedy,
children Divya and Vivek,
are the icing on life’s cake,
riding the surging time’s waves
or stumbling my way through caves,
I always love a contest,
I dislike the dishonest!
At last I am at a stage,
when am feeling like a sage,
wisdom of experience,
conviction, resilience,
I see the lights in distance,
ready now for what comes hence!
