This Is Who I Am

This is who I am
By Dalene Deale-Rowe
I am who I am
I don’t know how else to be
What you get,
Is what you see
You think I said that wrong
But I said what I mean
I don’t mind if you judge
Because that might be
That you are who you are
And that’s also ok by me
I’m not perfect to all
And I can be pedantic to a T
I’m confident but I have feelings
With a fair dose of crazy
I am chatty, but I am real
I am authentically me
I am usually happy
With the things I’ve got
And sometimes I am hungry
For thing which I have not
Realization kicks in
And instantly I am free
Because the limitation is internal
And the drive to obtain it
Is alive and well within me
You and I are different
And that is ok
But I am who I am
Because God made
Each one of us this way
