This Is Who I Am

This is who I am This is who I’m meant to be I’ve been wandering, in the dark so long Now I’ve found my place, I can do no wrong This is who I am Not who I was I’m telling you this So you know, because I’ve waited forever To be myself Didn’t want to be forgotten And left on the shelf Don’t want to be lonely But now I have my own me No longer a memory I’m out of the dark and I can see I’m not, afraid I’m not hiding anymore Not scared like before I have, my scars They mark us all But help us up when we fall This is who I am This is who I’m meant to be Every time a bone breaks We grow stronger in its place This is who I am Not who I was I didn’t need your help I needed your love
