This Is Who I Am

L. Milton
     generous,
          contented,
     introspective,
          enterprising.
Brother of Lois and Jim,
she was older (and gone now)
          he is younger, still living.
Lover of books,
     poetry, music,
          and many other things.
Angry at bigotry,
     delighted by success,
          saddened at loss
Fear losing my mind,
     fear falling behind,
          fear being blind.
I would like to see
     peace in my time,
          love abounding,
               truth preeminent.

Thank you so much, Paula, for your thoughtful comment on my BIO poem. It's hard to squeeze a lifetime into just a few small lines, but I gave it a good shot! I hope it will serve as an example for those entering the contest.

Beata, be sure to read the name clarification in the contest rules. You should use XXXXX for the first name and XXXXX for the last name! Thanks so much.

I like this biography, Milton, and my only advice is to keep away from worries, my friend, because every time I believe I am 65, I worry that I won't live another 65 with the same strength and talent I have now. After thoroughly thinking, I have concluded that 65 is the new 0 because we are all born and begin to lose our time and health from the moment we are born. It's best to have a good attitude and trust in God, and then you will be at peace. Kindest regards, enjoy your long weekend.

I have never liked my first name, so the L. is a big secret. I have very close friends who have never found out what my first name is, Sunshine. I'm sure not going to reveal it on PS. Sorry.
