This Is What Time Present Looks Like
THIS IS WHAT TIME PRESENT LOOKS LIKE
Time past is laid to rest with
Gradual forgetting of
Inconsequential things,
Once considered of great import.
The present breathes into life
All scattered shoots of
Hopefulness to form them
Into summer's bouquets
And post as wreaths on strong doorways,
Marking a new dwelling-place
For the coming of the year's wedding feast.
No harm comes to the household
As the banquet is prepared,
The guests from every part, invited
To partake of its rich bounty.
There is dancing and singing,
Where the music becomes
Improvisation, suddenly created
From a rich source of memories and beyond.
A revealing light, shone over
The gathering, shows up
Its diverse beauty, dressed
In robes of many colours.
This is what time present looks like,
Unlocked from past and future,
Interwoven with the now
In order to enter into
The pleasurable space of eternity.
