This Is the Season of Change

this is the season of change
March is a period of transition
already you are in preparation
for the rains of April
this time of year begins the pastels
the loveliest of colors adorning you
my favorite is the powder blue
altho yellows do you well 
lavender steals my breath
the light green becomes a garden nymph
all dance in memories of children dying eggs
working hand in hand we did the rabbit well
there were times i must admit
thinking i had married Mother Earth
yet my heart knows the truth
i married a woman 
who made the colors come alive
from the shadows in my life
who made the moon dance to a waltz
who made vegetables palatable
who made my life heaven on Earth
who made me realize
i am because of who you are
