This is the root

This is the root of the Universe
It's where the stars are birthed
It's where our souls were born
It's where God created truth
This is the root of our souls
It's the essence of each of us
That spark that ignites our hearts
It's how we navigate the Universe
This is the root of our bodies
It's in the miracle of our DNA
It allows us to be human
It's with us every day
This is the root of our love
It's in the gentleness and the passion
From a cradled babe in our arms
To a lover's warm embrace
This is the root of all
There in the silver threads that bind us
There in the energy and freedom
That gives everyone choice
