This Is Spring
The subtle shift in bird’s song
The lukewarm air that makes days long
Frost exchanged for morning dew
The stark chill has been subdued
Nature’s clothed in early green
The sweetest hue, this year has seen
Before too long, buds will sprout
To paint this scene, a bit more stout
Flowers topped, with butterflies
Sights to feed, my hungry eyes
The faintest sound of duckling cries
This is spring, to summarize
