This Is My Life

I'd rather hear a backyard band
than a DJ
I'd rather be square dancing
than grinding up on people
I'd rather walk around a country store
than a mall
I'd rather wake up smelling manure
than the bay
I'd rather drive miles to where I need to go
than to walk outside and already be there
I'd rather have a pig
than a dog
I should be at a party there
and you should be at a party here
Why are you in my town
and I'm in yours?
