This Is Just a Dream
I play my part well, I am fine REALLY,
No one meeting me would guess the pain I keep;
I will deny it,
I am just fine.
But, I live in a world of long ago- the p a s t,
because that is where I was the happiest;
before the deaths, before my heart broke,
I linger in childhood.
I DENY the truth to myself,
they are not d e a d;
this is just a dream.
Soon, I will wake up from this bad dream,
and my husband will be smiling at me;
my baby boy will be in my arms,
mother and father . . . NOT names engraved.
I dwell in a foggy world under a forever umbrella,
in my eternal denial . . .
