This Game of Life
I've passed GO so many times,
Still not sure where I should stop.
My mind has hardly recognized that word,
It's already begun and still flying along.
Have you ever been happy to just plain think?
Thoughts of things which last forever bringing joy.
Sadness taken and ever so gently placed in back pocket,
My precious rear end only noticing it when sitting too long.
So let's stand up and dance to this melody called mortality,
If the last curtain falls we'll still take our final bows.
The end is only as near as what you can't see beyond nose,
So many distant friends that always wanted to be so close.
Just flesh and blood temples we all just want to worship so,
So sorrowful we never notice bones which truly support them.
Toying with words like this may someday get me into trouble,
I'll just go with a flow of all them and hope for the best.
