This Feeling

What is this feeling so true and so bold, it’s like a warmth or a glow or a calmness, I’m told
Subtle, yet loud, it’s like the first sleep in months, or a bloom from unexpected little ole buds
It’s like winning a game when you aren’t the best, or laying your head upon a warm breathing chest
It feels oh so good, like a memory from childhood, or the light after feeling so misunderstood
It feels like running in puddles and swinging in trees and looking at stars, in the grass on your knees
It’s like the sun when it’s cold, the wind on the water or a warm hand to hold
It’s the most wonderful thing to be happy and sing and look at each other, you gave me a ring
It’s just so amazing how we are, us two; so in love through the years, we’re together like glue
My heart is in you and yours is in mine, and I promise this feeling won’t fade over time
