This Devil Town
Beautiful on the outside.
Lovely little houses.
Happy family’s out and about.
Joyful greetings floating on the air.
Lies all of it, hiding the truth.
Secrets tear at the facade.
Broken promises scar you.
Hate eats at your soul.
The girls all smile and pretend they like you.
The boys are nice and playful.
Until you turn your back.
You can even feel every single stab.
Run, get out, don’t let them tie you down.
Escape from this devil town.
Be you, even when the stabs nearly kill you.
You can make it.
Even in this devil town.
