This Can'T Be Life

This Can't Be Life.
SO WHAT I claimed to be lyrically blessed
we still got rich folks
that won't give a dime to the homeless
Naw this ain't the half of it
I gotta get something off my chest
I talk what I know & most of it's in my left breast.

This Can't Be Life.
No matter where you look there's potential murders
we got 12 year old's that's not afraid to serve ya
you used to be able to sit in
the house while ya kids would play
But now we got pedophiles who would
snatch em up anytime of the day
This Can't Be Life.

It's a brand new day & It's too real out here
GOD is the only way who can
destroy both the body & and soul
so tell me why people ain't scared
they call this America the land of the brave
But look around you it's 2009 and we still got slaves.
This Can't Be Life.

This can't be life compared to the New Heaven & Earth
it's so much hate here you can't
get acknowledged for ya Godly works
Favor for a favor, Laugh now or cry later
Difference is against all odds they still going in my favor
Only God can save ya when it's all said & done
But first you gotta get threw Christ Jesus
his only Begotten Son.
