This Ache

There is an ache behind my eyes
just for one sight of her.
If it were mine to own a thousand, thousand rubies red,
a diamond cluster
bright as a sparkling mountain stream,
if all my world were filled with sapphire skies
and fields of emerald green,
or if the tears upon my cheeks were droplets made of pearls
none could take away
the ache behind my eyes
just for one sight of her.
