Thirteen Lives

My cat he lost his mind last night, Said he had some mad insight, Told me that things were not quite right, And went out for a wild cat fight. I told him this wasn't the thing to be done, He said he just wanted a little fun, But like Icarus, he got burned by the sun. He killed a rat and felt quite fine, Just for me as a Valentine. I felt that this was some kind of sign, He told me not to pay any mind. I told him this wasn't the thing to be done, But he filled his belly full of rum - Went out in the street shooting his gun.
