Thirsty and Hungry

Think about me as I do, I’m the lost sheep in darkness; So thirsty and hungry I am, Think about me in fairness. Deep within your kind heart, Intoxicated by wondrous ardour; So thirsty and hungry I am, Love me so I won’t go further. Does it hurt to be without me? Breaking a promise so abruptly? Giving you my heart in earnest, Now lost I am and corruptly. There were those faithful kisses of love, Flown away dead by the wings of the dove.
