by the way, I guess you will notice lots of announcements in your email for my comments today. I have not visited you in such a long while. You gotta comment to me once in a while because I LOVE haiku and other small poems and I go nuts if I see a row of them to visit!!

Charles, This made me think of my husband. After his death the treasured watch went to my son.Thought provoking poem. Anne

It came from an old western I watched a while back. A suiter accused her of living in the past and she stopped, a far away look then pulled the ring off and put it back on the other hand.

I think divorce somehow. Whichever it another three lines packed with wallop.

Intriguing and oddly disturbing, but I enjoyed the read. I am not certain if this is loss due to death or divorce. I don't know about the subjective/objective thing ... but if this is about death, perhaps " a haunted look" would clarify this, if this is about divorce, perhaps a "a wounded look" would provide more insight. Memorable work, Charles.
