Thinking About the Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan 1963-A new voice appeared in the folk music scene, his songwriting skills came into play with this album. Eleven of the thirteen songs were his original writings. Songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind” “A Hard Rains a Gonna Fall” and “Masters of War” sparked a new revival and direction in folk music and began the prolific career of one of musical history’s greatest songwriters. Freewheelin’ was my introduction that led to a life long fascination with the man and his music.

I enjoy the music. It has a pattern that doesn't vary much. You did a good journalism about him. Thank you.

He sure came onto the 60's scene at the right time. Did you see the movie about him? It was pretty good, yet seeing the movie, I did not like his personality!! However, I did appreciate some of his songs and the way he made folk electric. Those old folk singers sure hated how he changed folk music! Nicely done, Oliver.

He did and yes, I did. I liked the movie. He can be a difficult and reclusive person. Yes he did revolutionize folk music for sure. Thank you Andrea.

Sigh. If he just wouldn't sing. But I know some dig that nasally voice. I just never could get into Dylan. Nice tribute though

He's not for every body. His voice was made for that style of music. His voice on Lay Lady Lay is a bit different and smoother. Thank you Tom
