Thinking About You

I was thinking about you last night It was late and the windows were open There was a breeze blowing off the gulf And I could hear the ocean where it met the sand I remembered your footprints as they led me down the beach The wind in your hair a smile upon your face as you turned To see if I was following I lit a cigarette and put down my drink The ice tinkling in the glass As I stretched out on white linen sheets I thought about your smile The silhouette of your body against the sand So soft and brown I keep thinking about you baby Wondering where you are I keep thinking about you baby all night long

A most touching piece. This is written and expressed so well. I have really missed your poems! "The silhouette of your body against the sand So soft and brown" I like those lines because I can so clearly and vividly see this... wonderous. I loved reading. Thanks! Always,Laura
