Think It Over
Some days she is so unbearable, that you decide to go
The fighting never stops, the hatred seems to flow.
But think very carefully about what you want to do,
Look at her again, when she’s not looking at you.
You must have loved her dearly, when you were very young
For you to dance so willingly into the wedding trap she’d sprung.
You were both so compatible, that you had to live together
To share a common Fate, through all kinds of weather
If there’ve been some changes, make sure it isn’t you
That cuts up every little thing, and makes the marriage stew.
There was something in the past that made you love her so.
Why don’t you remember the girl you used to know?
Her beauty, and your love could not have blown away.
There must be something that you can do, to get it back today.
Her body might be older, and lost it’s shape a bit
But look into your wardrobe, your clothes no longer fit.
Sometimes the grass seems greener, where you have never been
But often when you get there, it’s a disaster scene.
Try to make your life, with the love you used to know
Before you tightly slam Love’s door, when you decide to go.
